February 2020Naas Community Men’s Shed came to fruition in 2014 after a few older people in the community felt there was a requirement for a shed in Naas. The shed was initially set up to bring people together, give them activities and to share their experiences with each other. The shed recently moved location to a house on the Dublin Road and shed chair Norman Farragher attributes the recent sharp increase of an additional 20 members to this move.There are now 57 members who vary from 26 to 86

December 2017Kilcock Men’s Shed has one of the most diverse repertoires of any shed on the Island. As well as it’s celebrated choir the shed also hosts a very busy workshop, which churns out goodies at a rate that would put Santa’s elves to shame. The shed is also rich in the fruits  of the earth, coaxing potatoes, tomatoes, onions and parsnips from a patch of Kildare soil that was once a tangle of weeds awaiting the shed’s restorative touch.
